Starting in Bogota, explore the colonial neighborhoods, the famous Gold Museum and visit the majestic Salt Cathedral carved in a salt mine. Continue on to Cartagena, “the Jewel of the Indies” and explore the historic old town of this stunning Caribbean city. The climate is tropical so enjoy it will a day trip to Rosario Island for some relaxation & scrumptious local food.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Bogota
Arrive Bogota any time. Transfer to your hotel. Colombia’s capital Bogotá is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city located in central Colombia on a vast plain 2,600m above sea level, cradled by the Andean mountains.
Half day Bogata tour The tour begins at Bogotá’s historic centre; you will visit the emblematic district of La Candelaria. A neighborhood famous for preserving its colonial and republican architecture, besides being a mythical place full of fairy characters in heroic and romantic tales. From Bolivar Square you will see the National Capitol, Prime Cathedral, Palace of Justice, City Hall (Lievano Palace), and the House of the 20th of July, where the call for independence took place.
Continue your tour at your choice: at this point you can decide to either visit the worldwide-known Gold Museum: an extraordinary place to experience the goldsmith culture of our indigenous ancestors or the Botero Museum: a must-visit place if you are delighted with artistic expressions as of Colombian Maestro Fernando Botero.
Day 2 - Bogota
Travel through beautiful landscapes of Bogotá Savannah. Visit mystical Guatavita lagoon to relive El Dorado's legend, hear stories about gold fever, and appreciate emblematic offerings that Muisca people gave their gods in this magical place. Hike through path surrounding the lagoon.
Visit Sopo, a perfect place for dessert lovers. Visit to Alpina, Colombia's biggest dairy factory. In Alpina's store enjoy cheeses, desserts, and delicious drinks; then enjoy a delicious typical lunch from our cuisine.
Visit the historic, architectural and religious marvel 180mts underground-breathtaking majestic Salt Cathedral carved in a salt mine. Enjoy attractions like Convention Center and Coffee bar, where you can enjoy a delicious Colombian-coffee.
Day 3 - Bogota - Cartagena
Today we will take you to the airport for your onward flight to Cartagena. Cartagena is located on Colombia’s northern coast. It was granted a UNECSO World Heritage site in 1984. Full of history, amazing architecture, cobbled streets & beautiful plazas & churches, it’s like stepping back in time.
Upon arrival we will transfer you to your hotel.
Day 4 - Cartagena
Embark on our panoramic city tour of Cartagena. Starting at the Monasterio & Iglesia se La Popa, we will continue to the San Felipe fortress, built on San Lazaro hill to defend the city from pirate attacks. Stoll around the fortress & learn about the castle, with its tunnels, passage ways & underground galleries. Heading to the Old City known as Ciudad Vieja, we will visit the Church of San Pedro Claver, which was built in the XVII century. And tour would not be complete without a visit to the local handicraft market area of Bovedas. Wonder around the beautiful archways, built in to the city walls, which were used until the 1700’s to house armaments, then later as a prison in the XIX century.
Day 5 - Cartagena
We travel by boat to the Archipelago “Islas del Rosario”. 45km southeast (approx. 1 hour) from Cartagena. The boat departs around 8am & head to the national park. You will love the beauty that is on offer with its coral reefs & clear blue waters, enjoy the marine fauna that you will see along the way. Costal Lagoons, Mangroves & tropical forests are all to be explored. Free time in the afternoon for a snorkel & relaxation. Lunch is served during the tour
Day 6 - Cartagena
This morning, we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight
